But this time, the movie has been selected in the long list of ‘Oscar 2023’ over everything else. This year, ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ is the only Indian film to make it to the list after The Kashmir File, Kantara, Gangubai Kathaiwadi, Vikrant Rona and Iravin Nijhal.
On the success of the movie, actor and director Madhavan said, ‘The movie is going to give a lot to India. We are really proud. The journey of ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ will be more rewarding. First of all, we got the love of people all over the world. The recognition that Nambi sir got was so deserving that I was thrilled to even direct it.’
Actor Madhavan made his directorial debut with ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’. The movie is based on the life story of former ISRO scientist and space engineer Nambi Narayanan. Nambi Narayanan was falsely accused of espionage. The movie is jointly produced by production house Tricolor Films and Varghese Mulan Pictures. The South version of the movie has a special cameo by star Suriya. The English and Hindi versions have a special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan.
